Waveloom utilizes a flexible billing system centered around Credits, which are consumed as you use AI models and platform features. This section explains how billing works, how credits are managed, and how to monitor your usage.

1. Credits: The primary currency within Waveloom. Different actions (like running specific AI models, storing data, etc.) consume credits. You acquire credits through subscriptions, one-time purchases, or initial trials. Learn more about the Credit System.
2. Team-Based Billing: All billing, credit balances, and subscriptions are managed at the Team level. Members of a team consume credits from the shared team pool.

Why "Team Billing" for Solo Users? To streamline the billing system, every Waveloom user account is associated with a Team entity which handles credits and subscriptions. When you sign up, a Personal Team is automatically created and linked to your user account. This ensures that even individual users fit into the team-based billing structure, allowing you to manage your credits and potential future subscriptions through this designated Personal Team context, even if you never invite other members to it.

Ways to Get Credits

• Trial Credits: New teams automatically receive a set amount of trial credits upon creation during onboarding.
• Subscriptions: Recurring plans (monthly or yearly) provide a regular allotment of credits that typically expire at the end of each billing cycle. Learn more about Subscriptions.

Managing Your Billing

You can manage your team's billing information, view invoices, update payment methods, and manage subscriptions through the external customer portal provided by Polar.
